YOUTUBER REVIEW OF MUMFORD AND SONS

Eddie Bucalo 8 minutes ago
Before I say anything, let me just say that I am not trying to tell you that Mumford & Sons will be remembered or that they won’t be remembered. Even the best “experts” CANNOT predict the future and society is constantly changing. One thing sounds great today and something else does tomorrow, it’s just the way things are. No one really knows for sure, so there is no sense in starting that argument. Just because you know about music doesn’t mean you are right or wrong. It’s simply your opinion.

They are folk music for those who haven’t an ear for actual folk music. They are the ignorant man’s Frightened Rabbit.
A banjo and an uplifting bridge is a musical construct. It is when musical construct becomes repetitive, that an artist becomes yawn-worthy. Surely a classic music lover as yourself should know that, no?

my, most of all the bands you mentioned were musical *luminaries* in their genre. You can’t compare Mumford & Sons to the Beatles. That’s like comparing the ten commandments to a bleeding to-do list.
I didn’t know a banjo and an uplifting bridge counts as a “signature sound.” I’m not saying they don’t have a shred of talent. I’m just saying they are entirely forgettable, and will not stand the test of time.

go to amazon and read what people who are older (who know good music) say about Grant, Start w Might Joe Moon album
Yes, his voice in some aread can be whiney (but his voice is a wonder i, its 3 dimensional even in a whisper_, but he uses it that way as an instrument in areas. Not as whiney as mumford, the goat biy son of DAve MAthwe

yea its pop, but pop used to be Great and endure, This is not unique, fresh, or innovative in any way like int he 80’s. Its not good pop, even though acoustic instruments are involved. I think the acoustic nature and semi serious posturing and self-importance of the lyrics is what tricks the listeners. Bu the actual performance and musical prowess is missing , they have ni dynamic to the strumming, its all the same-and has to do w lack of talent.I could strum these songs better, and its not hard

the music son par with the Beatles, And every song is differne,t something Mumford cannot muster. Virgina Creepper is an album where his voice is lower. He also has a falsetto which is amazing. He is a crooner, troubadour etc
Checl out Under the milky Way, a 80’s cover song he did

every song his voice does something differnt. Try Might Joe Moon album, the song is Happiness . Also Grant Lee Phillips song is Buried Treasure
His voice in the mumford range is like sand and leather. Keep checking his stuff out, his voice is stunning,He won best male voice in Rolling Stone Mag in 1995 in Rolling Stone Mag.

but the lyrics are timeless. Ye folk musicians , music is background to the lyric. Still Pete and Woodie and Dylan played those thirds unconventionally in a genius way, mumford does not is not folk and the lyrics are worse than the ,music, Are you really comparing Pete Seeger to Mumford and Sons ??

i provided clear reasoning why the music is better, You being irritated, is a place you bring yourself, and you dont have to. Its called an opinion, is your more valid?
Probably not, since their is not expertise or causal argument to back it up/ I have to repeat it to reach new visitors, thats my goal

Tell us if you like it!
